Secluded in nature, this retreat for Psychotherapists offers care, support and creative inspiration for professionals who spend their lives looking after other people's mental health. Breathe new life into yourself and your work with a uniquely restorative week away.
Break out from your usual places and patterns to experience the rustic magic of the Tarn set in the middle of Southern France.
Start your day with yoga, swimming or walking, in wild countryside.
Take your breakfast on a birds-eye view of nature in the valley, followed by a different imaginative CPD 90-minute restorative workshop each day, using the Arts.
After a healthy vegetarian lunch, we take daily trips to medieval villages or the main ancient town of Albi. Visit the neighbouring beauty spa for treatments or dare to take a kayak on the river.
5 full days and a day each side for arrival and departure.
All-inclusive prices start at £1850.
About the host
Emma has been working therapeutically using the Arts for 20 years. She has run groups in The Priory hospitals, in state schools for children with challenging behaviour, for adults with learning disabilities, and for other therapists in workshop settings. She set up Storyworks in 2013 through which she raised hundreds of thousands of pounds with which
she put early intervention groups into state schools across London, East Anglia and the South-East. Having grown the idea and increased the amount of schools and funding, she trained other dramatherapists to deliver her story-based sessions for Storyworks to reach as many children as possible.
Emma
Emma works with couples, adults, teens and children. During covid, she moved to France where she has since worked predominantly online with English-speaking clients around the world. She has used her own creativity to facilitate imaginative sessions that engage the unconscious and give her clients the freedom of accessing such dynamic work from the comfort of their own homes.
Local walk
Having had many house-moves and adventures she now lives in a peaceful hamlet overlooking a valley with epic views. Emma knows that she wants now to share this part of France and her experience with other therapists. She is offering rejuvenating and stimulating breaks for therapists who need a nurturing environment, professional development with a twist, and a holiday in a spectacular region of South-West France.
